Why volume is the key figure

The volume in cubic metres (m³) determines the vehicle size, the duration and much of the price. A realistic estimate avoids surprises on the day.

The room-by-room method

• List furniture and boxes per room (living room, bedrooms, kitchen, cellar)
• Assign an average volume to each item (a 3-seat sofa ≈ 1.5 m³, a double bed ≈ 1.3 m³, a standard box ≈ 0.06 m³)
• Add it all up to get your total volume
• Add a 10 % margin for forgotten items
